i finally finished some christmas banners and have added them to etsy. these banners are adorable to decorate your house and your holiday photo shoots with.
these banners are made with fabric hand cut pennants that have a tightly woven burlap pennant layered on top. this burlap is so adorable up close and in person... it has a metallic fabric randomly woven into it here and there. just enough to give it some fun holiday spirit!
the letters are painted on with a metallic paint that i ended up blending and creating myself to get just the right color to be festive and pop off the burlap but not too harsh. each of the banners has a pair of twine ties at each end so you can attach it, pin it, or tie it wherever you may need it.
the holly and star felt garlands come in sizes as small as five feet and up to eight feet. these look adorable hanging on mantels, book shelves, wall mirrors, stair banisters, and anywhere else you care to add handmade decor to your home for the holidays. the star garland would be a great addition to a christmas tree too! i can't wait to go buy our tree and try it out.
in other news of new things... have you seen or noticed the new logo? it's my first real logo.
the old one worked as a logo. but it was actually just a mass produced stamp that i had personalized with aidie's hideaway.
i scanned the stamped image it made and turned it into a logo and business card. it worked well and served it's purpose for a couple of years. but i felt it was time to step it up and have something actually designed. it is exactly what i wanted! a new landing page for the website i never use and haven't updated in over a year is coming next. excited for that!
that is all for new updates for now. always have ideas and notes and samples in the works... time is always the deciding factor. hopefully a few more christmas items to come.
