week wrap up x2

This will be a two weeks in one post
since I missed last week's wrap up.

We had a few days of sick snuggles.
My first instinct can easily be negative when my kids get sick and can't go to school. I can see it as "messing up" our my routine.
But then I quickly melt into the forced relaxation and enjoy their needed snuggles.

A moment I want to remember
with my girly girl.

Fall chalkboard

Have your kids gone crazy for Rainbow Looming yet!?!? Avery is who originally wanted it and she does enjoy it but Grant is addicted.  He makes them everyday for him and his friends. He came home from school today with an "assignment" from his teacher to make one for her daughter.  So cute!

We love our family trips to Disneyland.
I could NOT miss this photo op.  This adorable Japanese family asked Bryan to take their picture with a big pink Instax camera. Not me, they asked him.  And being the sweet guy he is, he said yes.  He struggled with figuring out how to use it at first but he managed.  Oh and the bald head... HERE is the story on that.

Last Friday we dropped the kids off at school and we drove up to Cambria, where we enjoyed three full days together.
Time together with zero distractions is so good for us and not something we get to do often.
It was a wonderful time.

Our kids did well while we were gone.  This is the longest they had ever gone with BOTH of us being gone.  Our one year old pup did awful though.  He had "crate anxiety" at the boarding facility and NEVER came out or wouldn't let anyone in.  Talk about high maintenance!   Have any of you had dogs do that!?  Our Lab did great there.  Is it just a German Shepherd issue?  He is extremely attached to us.

Sweet girl working on her book report.

The day before Halloween is my husband's birthday.  This picture is another one from our trip to Cambria.  I'm so happy this is the man I get to spend my life with.
Instead of sharing the big chalkboard I did for Bryan's birthday I am sharing the one Avery wrote for him.
It's more cute then mine was.
Sitting in the back seat with my girlie taking funny face selfies.
Bryan always chooses Benihana for his birthday dinner.  Every.Single.Year.
Not that I'm complaining.

Headed to school on Halloween with treats in hand.  They weren't allowed to wear costumes to school so she dressed as Halloween twins with a friend instead.

For Halloween night she dressed as Izzy from Jake and the Neverland Pirates.  She was darn cute.  Grant decided he was too cool for costumes a couple of years ago.  We don't make a huge deal out of Halloween so maybe it's kinda my fault for not being super festive myself.  He usually just throws on one of his baseball uniforms.

She begged me to... and since I'm a sucker for this sweet girl I wore the eye patch. Just for a few minutes. Every pirate needs a mama.

Starting this week I am going to attempt a weekly shop update... so stay tuned for that.  I will also be giving a weekly coupon code or  giveaway opportunity in each update.  Fun!

Happy Friday to you!
